‼️ Amity 002 ‼️

Elpac’s ‘An Ode To Brentry Road’ EP is at the heart of Amity, in terms of both sound and situation.

The Amity co-pilot has poured a part of his soul into this body of work, taking in all of the sounds and experiences Bristol has offered him over the past few years, delivering back a raucous and energetic set of tracks that are destined to rattle soundsystems near and far.

Not for the faint hearted. Strap in and keep the talk small

'Bristol club night turned record label Amity unveil an earth-shattering collection of tracks from bass-futurist & Amity co-founder Elpac featuring vocalist of the moment Grove with 'An Ode To Brentry Road EP'. Marking the label's second release following their breakthrough V/A compilation 'Kills Two Birds' last year featuring the likes of Cassius Select, Dual Monitor & Pluralist.

Elpac had a 2023 that firmly placed the fast-rising producer at the forefront of the UK bass scene, with a string of groundbreaking single and EP releases on EMA’s Woozy Imprint, Nostro Hood System, Amity and Curving Track as well as big club & radio support from the likes of NIKS, Aletha, Pluralist & Om Unit. Here the young up-and-comer gives us an extended glimpse into his undeniably unique & explorative production style, with four cuts of swaggering dancehall-influenced club material that blur the lines between sonic exploration and pure dancefloor movement.

The EP opens with ‘Talk Small’ boasting a hypnotizing vocal performance from exalted voice of the underground Grove, who had an absolutely huge 2023 with their breakout single Super Soaker produced by Manni Dee and released on Fabric originals. Paired with Elpac's signature air-shifting production style, the two Bristol-based innovators offer up an unruly and addictive club weapon to start off proceedings. The pace doesn't slow with track two 'BrentryFM' jumping straight into action with spine-tingling battle chants that quickly make way for chugging half-time dancehall drums, a track that will make any lethargic raver instantly stand to attention. Track three 'SKos' dives further into the depths of Elpac's 4D auditory universe, with spiralling ring-modulated rhythms echoing around the cranium whilst chest-punching kick drums keep the listener locked in. The EP rounds off on a higher tempo with 'Hard Body', an unruly and infectious percussion workout crafted for peak-time hard drum hysteria.'
